Students assembled on Friday evening for the customary Knowledge Day Blessing. A moleben to the Mother of God was offered entreating her intercessions for both student and parents as we begin a new school year under unusual conditions. The moleben concluded with the blessing of the students and school supplies. Each student received an icon card of the Sitka Icon of the Mother of God to be placed where school work will be preformed. This blessing takes place annually during the first week of September.
